Travel - My schedule has been heavy with travel, as it often is, but this week I’m happily at home in Italy. I gave a lecture at Trieste’s Lions Club, and I spent a day in Tuscany with one of my daughters. I also met up with my global strategic team at headquarters, and visited Saatchi & Saatchi in Milan to present Illy’s global brand strategy to textile producers.
Recently I was in Paris at the Association for Science and Information on Coffee conference, where I’m president.
After Paris I went to London with another daughter to look at universities, and then to Milan for a board meeting for Altagamma, the Italian luxury brands association, where I serve as vice-president. Then back to Trieste for a family board meeting.
